The fee is payable by card or cash — it comes out of your bank account first, and tops up from the notes in your pocket if the account is short. You do NOT need to visit an ATM first. (The trade schools are not like this — see /guide vocational_college.)
The B practical test
You drive the whole route, not a slice of it — currently 19 checkpoints, and the examiner is watching three things beyond "did you arrive".
Speed limits are enforced per class: B 80 km/h, C 70, D 65. Going over costs 3 penalty points, at most once every 3 seconds; 30 points (B) / 22 (C/D) ends the test.
Manoeuvres
Three checkpoints on the B route are manoeuvres, not drive-throughs. A box is drawn on the road; put the car inside it, straight, and stop. Grading is automatic about a second after you settle — there's no button to press, so don't sit there waiting for a prompt.
Checkpoint 8 Three-point turn — turn the car around. Reverse is required. You get 3 moves; each extra one costs points and 6 moves fails it outright. Checkpoint 12 Parallel park — into the box, any way you like. Reversing is not required, just accuracy. Checkpoint 19 Reverse bay — back it in. This is the LAST checkpoint: the test ends here, you don't drive back to the school.
All four wheels have to be inside the box and the car within ~10° of straight. Taking your time costs nothing — only the move count on the three-point turn is budgeted.
Why bother
B — required to drive cars (cops WILL pull you over without it). C — required for the cargo trucker and heavy delivery jobs. D — required to drive a bus.
Licenses live in user_licenses with a 30-day validity. The driver_license item in your inventory is auto-issued/refreshed when you have at least one license on record.
Other licenses
Weapon / boat / aircraft licenses are not from the school. They're issued through specific in-game flows (jobs, ranks, events).
